On Thursday, June 13, Swing Shift played at the Auburn Hills Community Recreation Center. We played an eclectic mix of new and old, jazz, blues, and rock - all tunes with a swingin' beat. For this show, Phil Mooney rocked the guitar as only he can, Mike "Moose" Shriver kept the low end up on bass, and Jim Dignan smacked his Slingerlands. I sang lead on most songs, and for this gig I switched off between guitar and keyboards, using my new Novation Launchkey 61 controlling Mainstage on my MacBook Pro for most of the show. Hey guys, you sound really cool! I actually found you through a search for Launchkey and MainStage! I just got the LaunchKey 61 and I am trying to get it set up with MainStage, but for some reason it just isn't recognizing it! I would truly appreciate any guidance you can offer for setting it up, I know it's probably the easiest thing in the world, but I just can't seem to figure it out!!! Thanks and maybe we could play a show together sometime soon!
