One that got away (ep) - 2014
|
This self-produced album features songs written and recorded over a year and a half by Detroit singer/songwriter Dave Martin. "One That Got Away" includes straight-up rock (Shake It Up), a heavy, star-struck song of love lost (One That Got Away), a funky instrumental (Karma's Cure), a love song dedicated to my wife (Victimless Crime), and a Christian rock anthem (Arise and Awake). The bonus acoustic take on One That Got Away was recorded live and boils the tune down to its core: "As sure as the Earth is flat and Elvis is coming back, you'll never love anyone as much as me."
