"Kindie" is a portmanteau of kid and indie - and I think this song qualifies.
In 2007, I was inspired by a whining 2-year old to write a simple song called "The Sound Of Me Ignoring You." It's so amazing to listen to my child's voice from all those years ago and remember what that little stinker was like! Give this one a listen, and try not to smile. Trenton Theater gig Brings In over $800 for DYPAC
On Wednesday, April 23, the original spiritual alt-country & rock group DFMartin & Co performed a set of original songs and covers at the DYPAC Trenton Theater. They were supported by the Shinyheadmusic.com Rock School band, Alyse Lyph. Video and audio will be released soon from this epic performance!

Dave has been writing songs for over 20 years, mostly for worship services at Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church. When the world shut down in March 2020, he pivoted to recording, resulting in his debut studio album, The Crown Sessions. After retiring from 25 years of teaching middle school music in 2021, he built ShinyHead Studios with the money he saved over his career. In 2024, he launched DFMartin & Co to perform his original music for a wider audience.
Because the songs were written individually, the song styles vary widely, from acoustic pop, grungy rock, combo jazz, reggae, and more. DFMartin & Co musicians Godfrey Porter (bass), Heinz Plaumann (pedal steel and organ), and Joseph Waldecker (drums) can do it all.
Dave says, "It's my teenage dream to be on Saturday Night Live, either as a cast member, guest host, or musical guest. This project is my shot to make it there." Want to go along for the ride? Join our email list below!
