The ShinyheadMusic.com Rock School band Alyse Lyph played a great set opening up for Dave's band Raising The Dead at Wyandotte Sunday Socials on Sunday, August 24.  They played a set of Rock classics with skill and poise!  The next Rock School session will begin in January, contact Dave if you'd like to be a part of it!

On July 4, 2025, the ShinyHeadMusic.com Rock School band Alyse Lyph loaded up a 17' trailer hooked to a Hybrid F-150 with a 7.2kW generator to play at Wyandotte's Independence Day Parade.  Brayden Allstaedt, Lucas Cupp, Hayla Lucier, Erin Hansen joined Dave Martin playing American Girl by Tom Petty and Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus.  

Playing on the float was a challenge, and a ton of fun.  You can see for yourself with this POV video incorporating footage shot from the crowd.

Rock School session 5 begins Wednesday, July 9 with a performance at Wyandotte Sunday Socials on August 28 opening for Raising The Dead Acoustic Quartet.

On Wednesday, April 23, the original spiritual alt-country & rock group DFMartin & Co will perform a set of original songs and covers at the DYPAC Trenton Theater.

DFMartin & Co is fronted by Wyandotte’s Dave Martin, playing guitar, piano, and singing. He is joined by co-songwriter Godfrey Porter on bass, Ben Amin on drums, Heinz Plaumann on organ and pedal steel, and Jordan Schug on Cello.

Dave Martin’s album “The Crown Sessions” is available on all streaming platforms.

Supporting DFMartin & Co will be the ShinyHeadMusic.com Rock School band, Alyse Lyph, who will perform classic alternative rock by Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, Pearl Jam, and more.  Alyse Lyph is singer and guitarist Lucas Cupp, singer and keyboardist Hayla Elle, singer Erin Hansen, drummer Keagan LaRue, and bassist Cooper Lauscher.

Today, you can stream and download DFMartin & Co's new single, Let It Be (Mary's Song).  I wrote this song 10 years ago, and it tells the story of a young mother as she swaddles the Lord: "Mary said someday you may save the world but right now you're only mine."
